Cady Yu: Failure In Silicon Valley Is Not A Shame


Sina Financial News; The "2017 China Emerging Industry Development Forum" was held in Beijing on June 10.   ACG Chairman Cady Yu attended the event and delivered a speech. In her speech she stated that the United States is well developed because of its solid financial system.


Cady Yu is a VC investor from Silicon Valley USA, who has witnessed the growth and prosperity of Silicon Valley over the past two decades. "The culture in Silicon Valley is very unique. Basically, in Silicon Valley, failure is not considered a shameful thing. Everyone is very tolerant of failure."


She furhter stated that there are tens of thousands of angel investors and thousands of fund companies in Silicon Valley. There are more than 3,000 fund companies on one of the streets in Silicon Valley. "This is the Silicon Valley culture." In addition, she stated that, in Silicon Valley,  everyone in Silicon Valley, frequent job hopping is both common and tollerated. "A person may be working at Cisco this month, and may switch companies to Intel next month. Should he or she desire to return to Cisco, they will be welcomed back." In this culture, the spirit of innovation in Silicon Valley has made it maintain its leading edge.


In conjunction with the development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, Cady Yu believes that it is not only bringing the capital of Silicon Valley to the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, but is also bringing back the innovative concept of thinking and entrepreneurial spirit.
